Biostumblematic

A biophysicist teaches himself how to code

This video floated across my screen yesterday via Twitter, and I thought it was pretty interesting. It’s a fella from Google (and also, you know, the author of Python) giving some really great (almost tutorial) information on how to deploy web applications on Google App Engine using a bit of a patched version of Django.

I’ve dabbled in Django before, and always ended up stumbling when I tried to do anything more complex than some basic database interaction. This is something that I definitely want to improve, since I’d eventually like to be able to build a lightweight lab management system.
